NSCA Drag Radial EliminatorCecil Co and Milan Mich. Photos

BFGoodrich Drag Radial is always a hotbed of heads-up action, and it didn’t disappoint in Milan. Monroe, Michigan’s Cope Cosomano led the way in qualifying, and took a bye run into the second round on Sunday for his efforts. In other first round match-ups, Dave Hopper took out John Balinsky, Dave Klaput outlasted Matt Beebe and Jim Widener, driving Dave Rudisell’s Mustang, sent James Kursey to the sidelines.

In the semifinals, Klaput and Hopper won their respective battles to move on to the final round. Klaput, of Elburn, Illinois, got his Nova off the line first, .024 to .043, but Hopper’s Monroe, Michigan-based Mustang had enough grunt to get the job done, taking the win 8.55, 165.36 to 8.702, 166.52.
